are you still the best?

I went to Reading Terminal the other day to get something to eat and I saw this at one establishment:

This wasn’t the start of a string of plaques on display. It was the ONLY one on display. I always think it’s funny when I see something like this at a business. Like…you may have been the best in 1995 but that was 14 (almost 15) years ago! To all businesses out there who proudly display awards given to your business, might I suggest getting rid of any that were awarded more than 2 years ago? The only thing plaques, like the one above, does is tell people how long it’s been since people thought you were worth writing about.
